Nov 1- National Space Club Scholarship 

Date Available: 9/1
Award Amount: $20,000 (1)
Criteria:

• The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
• The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students.
• The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university to follow a course of study to pursue a career in the STEM field, with a preference for those with space related interests.
• The applicant can only use the $20,000.00 scholarship towards tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year.
• The applicant must not have previously spoken at the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner.

Nov 14- Jack Cooke Kent Foundation Scholarship*

Award Amount: "last dollar," up to $55,000 (fills in gap left by institutional financial aid)
Criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Senior standing – Complete four years of high school in the U.S., a U.S territory, or on a U.S. military base and plan to graduate in spring 2025.
• Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2025.
• GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 or above.
• Demonstrate Unmet Financial Need – We will consider applicants with family annual gross income up to $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.

Dec. 1- Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Physics Teachers

Award Amount:
Criteria:

• an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment.
• pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools.
• showing promise of success in their studies, and
• a citizen of the United States of America

Dec. 1- Smith College Poetry Prize for High School Girls 

Date Available: 9/1
Award Amount: $500
Criteria:

• The winner & three finalists will read their poems at the judge’s reading on April 8, 2025.
• Submissions accepted: September 1–December 1, 2024. Winners will be announced in March 2025.
• No entry fee. Application form required.
• One poem per student (10th or 11th grade students are eligible)
• Maximum of 25 lines.
• Children of Smith employees are not eligible to enter.
• Winner and finalists of previous years may not re-enter; past semifinalists may re-enter.

Dec. 15- Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Date Available: Oct 2024 (Exact date TBD)
Award Amount: $5,000
Criteria:

• Be a current high school senior that resides in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
• Demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in school, community, or work activities.
• Be willing to provide a release to publicize their identities and information about their plans or achievements along with photographs for use in Program promotion/information.
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Dec. 16- Burger King Scholarship

Date Available: Oct 15
Award Amount: $1,000 $5,000, $10,000, $60,000
Criteria:

• Be living in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada
• Be graduating high school seniors (U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada
• Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
• Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2025-26 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school or CEGEP or equivalent in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada

Dec. 16- Science Ambassador Scholarship

Award Amount: $20,000
Criteria:

• Open to all high school & undergraduate students

January 2025 

Jan. 1 - Taco Bell Live Mas Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000; giving away a total of $14 million
Criteria:

• Students age 16-26 pursuing higher education, preparing for the workforce, or using their passion to ignite change in their communities and beyond
• Two minute video telling what you are passionate about and how you plan to make a difference
• Application evaluated based on passion, impact, storytelling, and education goals (see website for details) 
• Resources for storytelling advice, finding your passion, and previous winning videos on website!

Jan. 1 - MIT Think Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 reimbursement for project
Criteria:

• Students must submit research project proposals 
• Students from under-resources high schools
• Scholarship provides mentorship and funding for their proposal up to $1,000
• Full time high school student at time of application
• Permanent U.S residency during 2024-2025 academic year
  • US citizenship NOT required
• Students can only submit one proposal per academic year 
• Proposals can be written by either an individual of a group of two students!

Jan. 5- GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship 

Award Amount: $10,000 Renewable scholarship, up to $40,000 total, all expenses paid Scholars Retreat in California, and support throughout leadership journeys in college and beyond.
Criteria:

• Demonstrate leadership through integrity, drive, and citizenship within their communities, schools, and workplaces
• Be a U.S citizen
• Current senior graduating in winter of 2024 or spring of 2025
• Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the US for the entire 2025-2026 academic school year.

Jan. 15- MENSA Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
Criteria:

• Must submit 550 word essay expressing academic and professional goals and how their experiences will help them to accomplish those goals 
• Must be planning on enrolling in accredited institution for the 2025-26 academic year

Jan. 21- Bezos Scholarship Program

Award Amount: Year-long, no-cost leadership development program
Criteria:

• Must be a high school Junior at the time of application 
• Must be from a public high school 
• Must be enrolled in one or more advanced courses during their high school career, such as AP, IB, and college level courses. 
• Must be a US citizen, nonpermanent legal status, or dependent of an H-1B visa holder.
• Must nominate an educator willing to serve as a mentor and participate in the program with them

February 2025

Feb. 1 - Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000-$19,000, average amount is $3,000-$5,000
Criteria:

• Applicant must identify as a woman
• Must be studying engineering or computer science full time at the collegiate level in the upcoming academic year or or are re-entry student
• Must be ib a program accredited by ABET, the India National board of Accreditation, or SWE Global Affiliate School of India.
• Must have a high school GPA above 3.5 or a University GPA above 3.0
• Must have letter of recommendation
• Must have an unofficial transcript of your most recent schooling. 

Three application types available; one application applies you for all three!

• Emerging First Year Scholars Application February 10,2025-March 31, 2025
• India Scholars Application February 10, 2025-March 31, 2025

Feb 1 -  Veterans and Military Family Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria: 

• Hard working US student 
• Active duty service member, a veteran, spouse or child of active duty or retired service member
• High school students or graduates, and undergraduate and college graduates may apply. 
• Accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited US junior college, college, university, or graduate school
• Must agree to terms and conditions of scholarship
• Proof of military service will be asked for ONLY from the winner
• Submit a 500-1,000 word essay on one of the topics provided 
• How has being in the military affected your ability to pursue an education? 
• What do you wish the American people better understood about the military service or military families?
• When you reflect on you/your family member’s military service, what are you most proud of and what are you most grateful for?

Feb 3-   Elks Legacy Award

Award Amount: $4,000
Criteria:

• Must be a child or grandchild/ step-child or step-grandchild of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2022 or a member of a charter Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2022.
• Must be a high school senior 
• If parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must selest parents only on application. 
• If selected, winner must perform three instances of service with an Elks Lodge

Feb. 12 - Military Children Scholarship (Opens Dec. 13th)

Award Amount:  $2,000
Criteria:

• Must be unmarried military dependent children 23 years old or younger
• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor’s degree or a community/junior college designed to allow for  a direct transfer into a four-year college.
• High school applicants must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on 4.0 scale 
• College applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA 
• Submit 500 word essay
• Academic achievement 
• Participation in school, community, and volunteer activities

Feb. 14 - Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship

Award Amount: see website for more information 
Criteria:

•  Must be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon community, planning to graduate by Spring 2025.
• US resident 
• Plan to enroll in an accredited two or four- year college, university, vocational, or trade school full-time in Fall 2025 semester 
• Demonstrate academic promise and financial need
• High school transcript 
• FAFSA SAR

Feb 28- Order Sons of Italy in America

Award Amount: $5,000-$25,000
Criteria:

• Must be individuals of Italian descent
• Enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program, graduate program, or a professional school at an accredited academic institution for the Fall 2025 term
• U.S citizens and green card holders 
• At least one Italian or Italian American grandparent 
• $35 application fee
• Transcripts through Dec. 2024
• 2 letters of recommendation 
• Official test scores from all standardized tests taken in the past 5 years.

Feb. 28 - NH Water Pollution Control Assoc. Student Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Criteria:

High school students 

• Be a resident of New Hampshire 
• Be  a graduating senior 
• a standard application form and submit it to the NHWPCA Scholarship Committee 
• Include an essay 
• Include a letter of reference, preferably in the environmental field
• Be preparing for a field directly related to the water environment through a post-secondary school or vocational program 

College students 

• Must be enrolled in a New Hampshire college, university, or vocational school
• Complete a standard application form and submit it to the NHWPCA Scholarship Committee 
• Include an essay 
• Include a letter of reference, preferably in the environmental field
• Provide verification of enrollment to the institution with a major in an environmental field

March 2025

March 1- NEACRAO George Coleman Scholarship

Award Amount:$2,000
Criteria:

• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a NEACRAO member institution (most schools around here)
• High school senior
• Strong academic performance
• Record of perseverance
• Compelling personal story or unique achievement

March 3 - Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship

Award Amount:  $10,000
Criteria:

• Submit original artwork or photo for the front of a greeting card
• Must be 14 years old or older 
• Must be enrolled in high school, college/university, or homeschool 

March 6 - Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship

Award Amount:$6,000 
Criteria:

• High school senior 
• Minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Proven to put the spirit of competition above winning while participating in a varsity sport 
• Community Service is required 
• Must write an essay explaining why they are a good sport on and off the field.

March 8 - Northeast Credit Union Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000-$5,000
Criteria:

• Must be graduating high school senior or current college student including vocational/trade, and community college 
• Must be a current Northeast Credit Union member and have been for at least a year prior to applying 

Applicant must submit: 

• Two letters of recommendation
• College acceptance letter 
• Transcript

March 10 - NHHEAF Destination College Speech Contest

Award Amount: up to $5,000
Criteria:

• Must be a high school senior planning on going to college 
• Must be attending a public or private school in NH or be homeschooled and reside in NH.
• Applicants must upload a video of yourself performing your speech. 
  • Speech is 3-5 minutes long
  • Must be uploaded to YouTube and a link must be provided with entry. 
  • Speech must be about college planning and application experience
    • Judges are looking for inspirational and informative stories (see link for more details)

March 15 - NH Food Industries Education Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria:

• High school senior , college freshman, college sophomore, or college junior seeking an undergraduate degree 

Must be one of the following: 

• Must have been employed or at least six month by a NH Grocers Association member company as of Jan 1, 2025
• A dependent child or spouse of a full-time, permanent employee who has been employed by a NHGA member company for at least one year. 
• An NHGA member company must still employ the applicant or parent/spouse of the applicant at the time the winners are selected. 
• Full-time status of at the institution recipient is planning on attending during the school year (12 credit hours per semester)
• Recipients must continue in school for the entire academic year.
