What does Educational Talent Search do?

For over 40 years, Educational Talent Search has proudly served limited income NH youth. ETS advisors visit schools on a weekly or biweekly schedule, providing career, college and financial aid information and academic advising to students. Specifically, ETS:

  • Provides students with skills and encouragement to graduate from high school
  • Provides students and parents with the preparation and support needed to enroll in postsecondary education
  • Encourages rigorous academic preparation
  • Promotes education success for middle and high school students

ETS Quick Facts

  • Over 1,200 students in 15 high schools and 14 middle schools are enrolled in the NH ETS program.
  • ETS serves qualified individuals ages 11 to 27, providing advising and referral related to academic progress, career planning, postsecondary enrollment, and student financial assistance.
  • Over 86% of college-ready students enrolled in postsecondary education programs last year.
  • ETS, located at the University of New Hampshire, has been 100% funded by the US Department of Education since 1969.
