A group of Hamel Scholars volunteered at the Girls on the Run 5K event this fall, providing essential event support to support this empowering event for young girls. UNH Hamel Scholars cheered on the 5K participants and served as mentors to New Hampshire youth.

In Fall 2022, Hamel Scholars volunteered their time to support the King Challenge, an annual bike race to raise funds for the Krempels Center, a Portsmouth, NH-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injury.
