In early December, the Hamel Scholars had the opportunity to meet world-famous inventor and entrepreneur, Dean Kamen. Mr. Kamen shared his vision for making New Hampshire a hub for biotechnology – on a par with what Silicon Valley has been for tech. Recruiters from Manchester-based DEKA Research and Development Corp, one of Mr. Kamen's companies, were on hand to solicit students for summer internship opportunities.
