About Me

Why did you choose to become a hall director?

During my time as an undergraduate student, I worked as a resident advisor and absolutely fell in love with fostering a sense of community among my residents. Every interaction, whether small or significant, felt meaningful to me. It was incredibly rewarding to witness residents’ growth over time, both socially and personally. My experiences as an RA deepened my appreciation for the impact of community and support in a college setting. Once I graduated, I chose to become a hall director to expand my ability to positively influence students' lives and continue fostering a supportive community.

Why did you choose to work at Res Life at UNH?

I have an older sister who recently graduated from UNH’s nursing program, and while visiting I always admired how beautiful the campus was. The vibrancy of UNH seemed like a perfect fit for me—a place where I could share my knowledge and experiences while continuing to learn and grow. As I went through the interview process, I became increasingly excited about the opportunity to work here. From my very first interview, I felt a genuine warmth from the res life staff, which reassured me that this was a supportive environment. Their commitment to creating a positive residential experience made me eager to be part of the community!

What advice would you give to students?

My advice to students is to not take a single moment for granted. You might think four years feels like a long time, but trust me, it will fly by before you know it. Make the most of all the resources, experiences, and opportunities for personal growth that college has to offer.

Get involved in your classes, join clubs, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your professors and peers. Every experience adds to your story and helps you figure out who you are and what you’re passionate about. Remember, college isn’t just about getting your degree! It’s also about your personal growth, building resilience, and creating amazing memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime!
