We strongly encourage graduate students to consider living in Babcock Hall, which is our graduate student-priority hall and is designed for mature students to thrive, engage and succeed. Graduate students are also welcome to live in any of our residence halls or on-campus apartment complexes that house upper-division students.

Babcock Hall

Babcock Hall is a unique and vibrant community of individuals who are 21 and older, with a mix of international, graduate, and non-traditional students. The hall combines social, educational and cultural opportunities with the convenience of on-campus living. A meal plan is not required for Babcock Hall.

Torrington Properties
UNH has partnered with Torrington Properties to provide off-campus housing in Durham.
This building consists of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartment units, with a full kitchen, bathroom, a flat-screen TV, plus a desk and armoire in each bedroom. Rent is $895 a month per person for two, three and four person apartments. One-bedroom apartments are $1600 per month, typically for a couple. Heat, hot water, cable, and WIFI are included. The tenant will be responsible for electricity and the bill is divided equally among the residents of each unit. Amenities such as onsite fitness center, two laundry facilities on site, resident study lounge and free parking are included. Wildcat transit runs regularly during the academic year and building is within walking distance.
Located in a quiet residential area, these newly renovated units offer one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Rent is $1000 a month per person in a two-bedroom apartment, excluding utilities. A one-bedroom apartment is $1300, excluding utilities (electricity and Wi-Fi). Parking is provided for a fee. The building is pet friendly and it is located within walking distance to the UNH Campus and downtown Durham Area.
Steps away from UNH Campus and downtown Durham, these single private units include all utilities (heat, hot water, electricity) except Wi-Fi. Each unit, with various sizes to choose from, is equipped with sink, microwave, and mini fridge and exterior window. Rent per bed is $750. Amenities include laundry facilities on site, parking provided for a fee, newly renovate community bathrooms (his/hers), community kitchen, common sitting area alone with professional cleaners 2x a week to keep the property clean and well maintained.
