Why did you choose to become a hall director?
When attending UNH I always wanted to be an RA and unfortunately the timing didn't work out. When I found out about this opportunity, I knew it would be a great way to bring my love of building connections and community to a work environment where I would be able to showcase my creativity, leadership, and communication skills. I couldn't be happier to be back in Wildcat Country!
Why did you choose to work at Res Life at UNH?
The RHDs and RAs I had during my time at UNH were some of the kindest, most dedicated, and well-rounded individuals I have ever met. They truly cared about the well-being of every single one of their students and always strived to make a positive impact, no matter how big or small. I am looking forward to making similar positive impacts on the lives of my students, hoping to teach and inspire them while in turn, learning from and being inspired by them as well!
What advice would you give to students?
It's okay not to know everything right now! College is an exploratory growth period where you are going to learn so much about yourself and the world around you. It's important to try new things and take opportunities as they present themselves to help you make exciting discoveries. On the flip side, always remember to stay present, give yourself grace, and take time to do things that make you smile! Whether it's joining one of over 200 clubs on campus, heading to a sporting or theatrical event, or simply just hanging out with friends in your dorms lounge, all of these experiences will help shape you and the path you're meant to lead!
