About Me
I have a lot of hobbies and interests. Some would say too many! And to them I would say, “yes, you’re probably right.” Exploring new topics and learning everything I can about them is my default. I enjoy being active and will almost never turn down a game of volleyball, especially on a sand court. I’d rather bike 60 miles than run 1, but believe it or not- I used to be a championship fencer (Epee & Foil primarily). A good movie, board game, or session of D&D will make my day. Last, but certainly not least, I have a cat- Vincent who is way too smart for his own good.

Background and Career

I grew up in a small suburban town in Connecticut and funnily enough was never planning to attend college. My friends and family convinced me to give it a try and I went to Central Connecticut State University where I came to love Student Affairs and Residential Life. I completed my Bachelor’s, thinking I would become a high school teacher and get to teach all the fun classes (robotics, graphic design, etc.). Somewhere along the way, I had a lightbulb moment and realized that I could do the Residential Life thing professionally and pursued my Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, completing it in about 10 months! I’ve lived and worked in a variety of places in New England, mostly in the Massachusetts and Connecticut area…except for that one time when I moved to Colorado and was in Denver for a year. It’s always been a goal of mine to make my way up north to this area so I’m incredibly excited to be here. My background has included most functional areas of Student Affairs from Orientation to Conduct, Curriculum Design to Crisis Intervention, and everything in between.
