About Me
Pronouns: he/him/his
Why did you choose to become a Hall Director?
I chose to become a Hall Director because I love education and being around learning. I was very active and involved as a student which taught me so much about myself and the world around me. When I graduated from college, I knew that working in Residential Life was a great way to mix both passions. Being a Hall Director is one way to give others the opportunities and experiences I had during my education. I particularly enjoy the “out of the classroom” learning that occurs in the college environment and seeing students grow beyond their coursework is fulfilling.
Why did you choose to work for Res Life at the University of New Hampshire?
I chose UNH to challenge myself personally and professionally. I was looking for an institution with high levels of innovation and compassion for their work. The Residential Life department at UNH is supportive of their students and mission-driven. When looking for a place to work and live, UNH Residential Life made me feel like I was home the moment I stepped onto campus. Ultimately, the work that they do and the fun they have while doing it was all I really needed to say yes!
What advice would you give to students?
Say YES! College is a time where you will have the chance to try new things every day. I would encourage all students to look for ways to try new things at least once. Whether it is attending a hall program, sporting event, or meeting your professor for office hours. Those opportunities to try new things and explore the world around you are so powerful. If you can learn to try new things and be comfortable with the uncomfortable, you will be ready to tackle whatever life throws your way!
