LETS TALK ABOUT STUFF

You may not need every item on this list.  For some a shower caddy is essential.  Others will not need one.  The included items are here to serve as a guide in creating your personal packing list.  It is a good idea to check with your apartment mates before bringing everything yourself.  Often the amenities in an apartment are shared—there’s no need (or space) for two of everything.  Coordinating which apartment mates will bring large items like a microwave, or television can save space and make a much more pleasant living environment.

SLEEPING

• Bed linens (twin extra long sheets)
• Comforter and/or duvet cover
• Blanket
• Mattress pad/topper
• Something to wake you up

EATING/COOKING

• Bowls/plates/mugs/silverware
• Reusable water bottle
• Small appliances with auto shut-off feature, e.g., electric kettle without an open element; Keurig or coffee pots
• Toasters/Toaster Ovens
• Microwave
• Pots, pans, baking dishes

STUDYING

• School supplies
• Personal organizer/calendar
• Printer, paper, ink cartridges (Wi-Fi printer is NOT recommended)
• Computer and  charger/Ethernet cables

CLEANING

• Cleaning supplies (disinfecting wipes, air freshener, paper towels)
• Dish towels, kitchen cleaning supplies
• HE laundry detergent/dryer sheets/drying rack
• Hand soap
• Trash can (recycling can provided)
• Vacuum cleaner

MISCELLANEOUS

• Storage bins (14” max under bed w/o lofting)
• Flashlight/extra batteries
• First-aid/sewing kit

MAKING IT YOUR HOME

• Posters, photos, and other decorations
• Area rug
• Fan/window fan

For the safety of all residents, please do not bring the following items.  In addition, please remember that you may not plug multiple power strips together, alter smoke detectors, or remove furniture from the room.  For a complete list, please review our Room and Board Agreement.

• Built-in (wall or ceiling attachments) structures are prohibited
• Pets of any kind except non-dangerous fish in a 10 gallon or less sized tank or an approved service animal or Emotional Support Animal (ESA)
