Each semester students from UNH, and other colleges, head to Boston to step out of the classroom and into their futures through the Semester in the City (SITC) program. Students live in the Allston neighborhood and intern 30 hours per week with mission-driven organizations in the area. Each student is responsible for a special project under guidance and support from a mentor at their host organization. While they certainly are gaining valuable career experience, they're more importantly growing personally, stretching outside their comfort zone, and finding purpose. Students can also opt to stay on campus in Durham and intern with a department here at UNH, helping to advance strategic projects right here at home.

UNH students curious about or considering the program met this semester's cohort at the Open House at the SITC headquarters in Boston and heard what they think of the experience so far, learned about their internships, and participated in some fun workshops. Check out the Fall 2022 Showcase videos where students reflected on the experience.
