MUBOG is tasked with several different policy areas
Each Policy Area is different, pertaining to different areas of the Memorial Union Building and the Memorial Union and Student Activities.
All regular MUBOG Meetings are public, external student voice is always appreciated in these policy areas.
The Space Allocation Process of the Memorial Union Board of Governors is a semester-long process where the general committee is responsible for the oversight of office and storage space within the Memorial Union Building.
The Memorial Union Board of Governors has the authority to review and recommend changes to the mandatory fee for the Memorial Union Building, ensuring a transparent and inclusive process by collaborating with the Student Senate and the Memorial Union and Student Activities Department.
The Memorial Union Board of Governors is empowered to review and influence the Memorial Union Building’s programming and leadership events for the upcoming academic semester. Their input spans various events and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the needs and expectations of both undergraduate and graduate students.
The Memorial Union Board of Governors holds comprehensive authority over the Student Leadership Awards, responsible for selecting the annual awards, coordinating the nomination process and form in collaboration with MUB staff, planning the awards ceremony, and reviewing all submissions to determine the winners.
MUBOG - MUB AD hoc Art Commission
