Honors College Art Assistant
The UNH Honors College seeks a part-time Art Assistant to create materials and events showcasing the Huddleston Hall art collection. The recent renovation of Huddleston Hall to house the UNH Honors College included the installation of artwork by alumni and local artists. This position offers opportunity to gain experience in web design, event planning, communication, and arts management by creating materials and organizing events to showcase the Huddleston Hall art collection. This position will be supported by the Honors College staff, but requires the ability to complete tasks independently and competently.
Hours per week: 10
Pay range: $18-$24/hour, depending on education and experience
Start date: ASAP
Duties/Responsibilities
The Art Assistant will be responsible for:

Organizing an "art opening" in April, including communications with artists as well as event planning and management

Creating a Huddleston Art website with photos and information (web training will be provided)

Showcasing artworks via social media, ORCA, and other platforms

Creating wall and web text to describe the art and artists
Minimum Qualifications

Interest in the visual arts

Ability to learn and use Drupal web design platform in keeping with UNH brand standards

Ability to design effective graphics and communications in keeping with UNH brand standards

Ability to write clear, correct prose

Ability to research and fact-check

Strong attention to detail

Ability to communicate via email, phone, and in person with a range of people
