Eligibility for Services
We provide quality medical care to all UNH students, employees, and dependents of employees (over the age of 18). While these services are student-focused, dependents of UNH students (who have paid the health fee) are eligible to be seen on a fee-for-service basis, depending upon the availability of appropriate health care providers.
We offer Living Well Education/Counseling to all UNH students.
Students and employees must bring a UNH ID to their appointment and have a valid Wildcat Pass.
Students, faculty, and staff can access services regardless of their insurance provider, but it is the responsibility of the client to ensure their insurance provider will cover our services.

The Health & Wellness Fee
When combined with health insurance, the Health & Wellness fee ensures a comprehensive care package at UNH.
The fee is paid by all UNH degree students who take five or more credit hours/semester or non-degree students who take thirteen or more credit hours/semester. This fee ensures that students have access to medical appointments and wellness counseling and coaching without a copay, among other benefits. Health insurance is not billed for services covered by the health fee.

Health Insurance
It is your responsibility to know your health insurance coverage. You are responsible for charges that are not covered by your health fee. We can bill your insurance for any medical charges, and your insurance may cover partial or full payment.
Please have your insurance ID card with you during your visit. We will need the name and address of your insurance company, the subscriber's name and address, the policy number and group number.
Once you provide us with your insurance information, we will assume that you want us to bill your insurance for future charges not covered by the health fee. If there is a particular charge you don't want to be billed to your insurance and you would like to pay for your visit out of pocket, you will need to notify the Business Office (Room 245) immediately following your visit.
To learn about the university health insurance requirement and/or the UNH Student Health Benefits Plan, please visit our Student Health Insurance page.
We are considered 'in-network' with the following health insurance plans:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO
- Federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield Indemnity
- Cigna
- Harvard Pilgrim
We can bill any insurance company, but cannot submit claims for Medicaid. It is your responsibility to know your insurance benefits. If your insurance company does not pay, you are responsible for all charges. If you have any questions, please contact us at (603) 862-0066.
