UNH Receives $4M Gift for Whittemore Center Renovations, Creates Key Auto Group Complex

The University of New Hampshire is one step closer to transforming and expanding the training and support facilities in UNH’s Whittemore Center as part of the UNH Hockey Renovation Project following a $4 million gift from Anthony DiLorenzo ’87, owner of Key Auto Group. Additionally, the Whittemore Center, home of UNH men's and women's ice hockey, and the Hamel Recreation Center will now join together as the newly formed Key Auto Group Complex — a multi-purpose center located on the Durham campus.

UNH Experience Inspires McGregor ’95 to 'Fulfill My Purpose' as a Doctor

Alyson McGregor ’95 graduated from UNH knowing she was “fulfilling my purpose” by becoming a doctor, and she credits UNH with providing the education and environment that made that career a reality. McGregor addressed the CHHS Class of 2023 this spring, sharing the ways UNH helped shape her into the accomplished doctor and impassioned women’s health advocate she is today, and encouraging the graduates to use the lessons they learned on campus to pursue their own success.

UNH Students, Graduates Powering the Granite State with Eversource

Several UNH leaders, including President Jim Dean, visited Eversource in Manchester on Aug. 10, discussing opportunities to further strengthen a prospering partnership and learning a little about what it takes to keep the power on in communities throughout New Hampshire – as well as how many UNH students and graduates have a hand in that endeavor.

Commencement Nomination Time is Here

The UNH Honorary Degree and Granite State Awards committees will soon review nominations for 2024 commencement ceremonies. 

Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of all UNH’s campuses are invited to submit nominations for potential commencement speakers, honorary degree recipients and Granite State Award honorees. Nominations are due by Sept. 30.
