Tatum was a first-year student majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to her college experiences, she was involved in many academic and extracurricular activities such as involvement in her high school’s student government, participation on the varsity volleyball team, and volunteer work with the American Red Cross as a donor ambassador. She also extended her capabilities through the Perry Outreach Program; a prestigious program hosted at Duke University for inspiring women as they enter the world of STEM. Once she enrolled in UNH, she quickly became involved in more organizations such as Engineers Without Borders, Society of Women Engineers, and the UNH Outdoors Club. As a Changemaker Fellow, Tatum looked forward to engaging in a community that harbors a similar passion for engineering and sustainability.
