Kate was a freshman undeclared in the College of Health and Human Services, intending to major in Human Development and Family Studies. She wanted to become a Changemaker Fellow in order to join a community of passionate people committed to working towards sustainable outcomes and to develop leadership skills necessary to facilitate change. Some issues she is passionate about are sustainability in the fashion industry and positive youth development. Her interests were sparked by thrift shopping, serving in high school on her town’s Youth Advisory Board, and holding an internship as a greeter at a local family resource center. She is looking forward to the experiential nature and mentorship aspect of the program!
