Jessica was a Senior at the University of New Hampshire who majored in Psychology and minored in Education. When she was in Durham, she was part of the Senior Class Gift Committee and also worked at the UNH Phonathon where she helped raise money and spread news about the great things that happened at UNH. This semester she interned at the St Stephens Youth Programs in the South End of Boston. She was excited to be working directly with SSYP youths and to build relationships with students and their communities as she aspired to one day become a school counselor. One thing she hoped to gain from her experience during Semester in the City was a professional mindset and general experience in more diverse communities. Jessica loves listening and learning about new people and their interests, giving advice, and also general relationship building which made her internship the perfect internship fit for her, as well as great experience for the line of work that she hopes to go into down the road.
