Network Stewardship Coordinator

Wania Ahmed earned her master's in food studies from NYU, where she focused on food policy, sustainability, and social justice. Her passion for equity and advocacy led her to work in NYU’s international student offices and serve as an Advocacy Leader with the International Programming and Advocacy Committee (IPAC), supporting student success and community building.

With a background in hospitality, Wania has worked as a chef in a Michelin-starred restaurant and led food pop-ups, blending her love for food with her commitment to community engagement. She later transitioned to sustainability-focused roles, including her time as a Sustainability Fellow with the University of New Hampshire, where she helped integrate equity in New Hampshire's Food and Agriculture Strategic Plan.

Now, as a Network Stewardship Coordinator at the UNH Sustainability Institute, Wania is working on facilitating collaborations and growing the sustainability network . Like a true Pakistani, she finds joy in cooking and feeding people—because good food always brings people together.
