Emily Yetton, ‘22

Spring 2021 Semester in the City Fellow
Emily

Emily was a junior studying Homeland Security and Justice Studies. She interned at the PBS Institute in Braintree, Massachusetts. PBS is a non-profit that helps make juvenile facilities safer and helps juveniles enter the world once they are released. During her time at PBS, she worked on infographics, research, and analytics. This work helped her learn more about the process of building an audience for a cause as well as about the serious issues with the current state of juvenile incarceration throughout the United States. Emily’s favorite part of Semester in the City was the amazing professional experience and the skills and connections she gained in the classes taken twice a week. These classes offered her an opportunity for personal growth and education on real life issues. Emily plans to attend law school after finishing her undergraduate degree and believes that Semester in the City was a great experience to help her prepare.
