Fall 2020 Semester in the City Fellow
Lily Cosman

Lily Cosman was an Economics and Sustainability dual major with a minor in International Affairs at the University of New Hampshire. While she was very involved in her academic programs, she also participated in the UNH Outing Club and the Interdisciplinary Honors program. Her accomplishments within the Interdisciplinary Honors program have allowed her to have many impactful experiences within her university career, including studying abroad, independent studies, and Semester in the City. She interned at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center as the organization's outreach fellow. She hoped to gain experience in social sector work and understand the impact of a small NGO on the economic development of an area. Lily has an interest in social and societal prosperity due to her experience in advocating for equitable social policy with a particular focus on immigration, tying-in well with her international affairs minor. With this experience and her degrees in economics and sustainability, she hopes to enter the field of economic development policy for areas affected by crises.
