Shane Rogers

Shane is the Program and Communication Director for Food Solutions New England where he is working to build equitable and inclusive food systems that work for people through effective narrative building and collective action and communications.

Prior to joining Food Solutions New England, Shane worked as the Communications and Network Weaving Strategist with the New England Grassroots Environment Fund and was steeped in the Vermont food system as the Farm to Plate communications manager at the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund and the communications and development coordinator with Green Mountain Farm-to-School. Throughout his career he has worked to center stories and narratives grounded in community, bottom-up organizing and has advocated for a collective approach to communications that lifts up the voices of those most impacted by the issues at hand.

Shane is also the organizer and host of the Vermont Wild Kitchen as well as an active community organizer in the state of Vermont. Living in Vermont with his partner, he enjoys the outdoors during all seasons, collecting wild foods, and a good book.
