Hannah was from the greater San Francisco area, pursuing a MS in Environmental Policy at Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy in New York. She previously completed a dual bachelor’s in Political Science and International Development at Tulane University in New Orleans. While at Bard, she had the opportunity to serve as the university’s inaugural Sustainability Policy Fellow and enjoyed engaging university faculty and staff in climate-related political action items. During this first year of her master’s program, she chose to focus most of her research efforts on financing energy efficiency technology access.

During the summer of 2021, Hannah work with the Town of Concord, Massachusetts to compile a report outlining barriers to residential energy efficiency adoption and potential solutions to these barriers. Through research and in-depth stakeholder interviews, she selected financial mechanisms and procedural improvements that she suggested the town adopt to improve energy efficiency adoption rates amongst residents.
