Whether you’re innovating to solve an environmental engineering problem or researching how to build a start-up that will help solve hunger, your research falls into UNH's broad definition of sustainability. All majors are encouraged to present on a broad range of sustainability challenges – addressing environmental stewardship, social well-being, and economic vitality and may use the framework of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals as the definition of sustainability.
