Your Educational Counselor / Academic Coach
Educational Counselors / Academic Coaches are professional TRIO (SSS) staff who you will meet with regularly to ensure your success and wellbeing at UNH and beyond. We serve as mentors and advocates who support TRIO Scholars in many ways, including academics, financial planning, graduate school preparation, job/internship searches, community building and more.
The UNH TRIO Scholars Network
Many friends meet through TRIO Scholars! You can get to know your fellow TRIO Scholars through various events and programming throughout the year, including:
- Social events - past events have included a trip to see the Boston Red Sox, a trip to see Hamilton, chunky blanket making, pumpkin painting, and more
- Semesterly welcome / welcome back meetings - where all TRIO Scholars gather to connect with each other and learn about events happening each semester
- Workshops - which cover a wide range of topics including study abroad, getting involved in research, resume writing, and more.
- The student space - in Smith Hall, room 201, TRIO Scholars are welcome to study, relax, access our food pantry, and connect with other TRIO Scholars in the space any time the TRIO Scholars Office is open
