Artist's Statement
“Woven through my life and art are love & family, land & sea, faith & friends, kindness & gratitude, peace & freedom, home & hope.”
-Ann Trainor Domingue
Over the years my work has evolved— both intentionally and unintentionally. My work has deepened in how I think and feel about the world around me. From the smallest things such as greens of moss, to the largest such as how moisture in the air softens the harshness of the sun. Simply the passage of time has changed how I incorporate ideas that are part me.
My work has shifted toward a broader viewpoint becoming more understated in color choices, richer in surface detail and linework, and stronger in the overall design of shapes and how they relate to one another in a painting.
