Group Evening Swim Lessons - Spring 2025
Enrollment for Spring opens January 6.
Group swim lessons are offered for kids ages 3-13 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Families can choose between a 5:40pm lesson or a 6:15pm lesson.
Lessons are 30-minutes in length.
This program focuses on life saving skills utilizing the American Red Cross swim level system from level 1 to level 6. Lessons are focused on life saving skills and becoming comfortable in an aquatic environment in the lower levels, and work up to stroke development and swim team preparation in the upper levels.
You will be asked to indicate a swim level during the CampDoc registration process (see below for more CampDoc information). Pre-school lessons are for ages 3-4; youth lessons are for ages 5-13. If you are unsure what your child's swim level is, select 'unsure.' All swimmers are observed on the first day of lessons and may be moved if the level chosen is not appropriate for the swimmer's ability. Consult the Swim Level Chart if needed.
All lessons are held at the Swasey Indoor Pool, inside the UNH Field House, 145 Main St., Durham, NH. Additional information is sent to enrolled students/families directly from the Aquatics staff before the session start date.
No refunds are provided for group lessons, including for any missed lessons.

Online Registration Instructions: Review before enrolling for the best outcome. Family Accounts are recommended for enrolling multiple children from one family in any UNH Youth Program. If you already have an account in our system, you will be asked to log into either a Family or Student Account after adding the program to your shopping cart. Be sure to use the username and password for the type of account you wish to log into. We recommend attempting to log into the Student or Family account before enrollment opens as this will minimize difficulty and time while enrolling. Email youth.programs@unh.edu if you require assistance recovering your account information. Do not create a new account if you have one already.
If you don't have an account already, you can set up an account at any time, even before you begin the registration process. If creating a new student/individual account, the account must be in the name of the child, but the email address provided in the profile should be that of a parent/legal guardian.
CampDoc: UNH has partnered with CampDoc to quicken the enrollment process. Enrollments and payments will still be done here through our current enrollment system, but no registration questions will be required at that time. Within a few days of enrolling, the email provided in the Student or Family Account will receive an email prompting completion of the registration questions. This is when you will indicate the child's swim level.
Due to very brief timelines between enrollment and the program start date, it is important that a parent/guardian respond to the CampDoc email and complete the registration questions promptly. Even if the student already has a CampDoc account, a parent/guardian will need to log into the student's account to complete any necessary questions for this program, and to review and re-sign some waivers. A participant’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.
For more information, including the CampDoc Support Line, review our CampDoc page.
