Submitting Your IROP Application

The online application portal for IROP is now closed.

A complete IROP application includes:

  1. Application Intake Form:  To be completed through the online application portal
  2. Project Proposal:  See Proposal Requirements in the Application Guidelines. Save as a PDF to be uploaded to the online application portal.  Use this naming format: Lastname_Firstname_IROP_Proposal
  3. Project Risk Assessment Form: Review with your UNH and international mentors, then complete the online fillable form. Save as a PDF to be uploaded to the online application portal.  Use this naming format: Lastname_Firstname_IROP_Risk
  4. Cultural and Language Preparation Form:  Complete the online fillable form and save as a PDF to be uploaded to the online application portal.  Use this naming format: Lastname_Firstname_IROP_Cultural
  5. Budget:  Review the Budget Instructions, then complete and save the fillable Budget form as a PDF to be uploaded to the online application portal. Use this naming format: Lastname_Firstname_IROP_Budget
  6. Letter of Confirmation from International Mentor.  Ask your international mentor to write a letter confirming his/her willingness to serve as your mentor at the summer research site, and to send it to you as an email attachment that can be included with your application.  International mentor letters should be on professional letterhead (where possible) and signed. Save the letter as a PDF to be uploaded to the online application portal. Use this naming format: StudentLastname_StudentFirstname_IROP_International Mentor
  7. UNH Faculty Mentor Recommendation: Complete the top portion of the “IROP Faculty Mentor Recommendation Form” and give the form to your UNH mentor well in advance of the application deadline.  Your mentor will be responsible for uploading the form and their letter of recommendation to the online portal no later than the application deadline.
  8. UNH Faculty Recommendation (non-mentor): Complete the top portion of the “IROP Faculty Recommendation Form” and give the form to your second UNH faculty recommender well in advance of the application deadline.  Your faculty recommender will be responsible for uploading the form and their letter of recommendation to the online portal no later than the application deadline.
