Approved permits are shipped from our vendor using US Mail to whatever address you assigned in your order; UNH Parking has no way of tracking a delivery once it's in the mail. You can access your account at ThePermitStore.com to double-check which delivery address was used. Please check for your permit at that address. While waiting, you might have to use the temporary permit that was emailed to you at the conclusion of your order. If the permit has not caught up to you by the time the temp permit is about to expire, come to the Parking Office (MUB 211) to inquire about a replacement. Replacements will not be mailed out.
We understand that not everybody who needs a permit was able to get one. Sold out permit categories are wait-listed, and while we receive many appeals citing urgent need, unfortunately we cannot offer a permit nor a priority over others with similarly urgent needs. We also have no information about off-campus/private options.
Wait-list offers are made if/when someone else cancels or forfeits their permit*. We have no way of knowing if, when, or how many spaces will open in this way, so whether you're near the top of the list or further down, we can't give odds. We will do our best to work down the wait-list, but unless/until you are made an offer, you should plan on not bringing a car to campus. (*There is generally more vacancies created at the conclusion of the fall semester.)
Yes, pay-per-day temps are available at the parking portal. HOWEVER these permits are limited and subject to sell out, so should not be relied upon as a means of keeping a car on campus until a regular permit space opens up.
This is usually because you have more than one account at the vendor site (e.g. one from last year, another from this year) and may be accessing the wrong account. As long as you have your decal, you don't really need to activate the permit.
Yes, the new refund policy allows for limited partial refunds for early termination of a permit. However, since refund requests trigger a cancellation of the permit, you don't want to request the refund until you're done with the permit (but before deadlines). Refunds should not be requested "in advance".
