Guaranteed Ride Home is available to all users of the following alternate transit programs:
- Wildcat Transit
- Vanpool
- Carpool
- Train
- Bicycle
- Ride-share
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
What is this program for?
It's to make it easier for you to pick and use one of the several alternate transportation programs to campus, without fear that you may get stuck at UNH in an emergency.
Can anybody get a ride?
Faculty/staff or student commuters who have taken Wildcat Transit, a carpool, vanpool, or ride-share may use the Guaranteed Ride Home service. This service is for emergencies, not casual rides or scheduling difficulties. Participants may have up to two emergency rides per semester.
What is the cost for a ride home?
An emergency ride home is free.
What is the service range for Guaranteed Ride Home?
You can get a ride home from campus to your local residence or park & ride if that is where you left your vehicle. There is no Guaranteed Ride service to other destinations, or from off campus to UNH. Individuals must live within the Wildcat Transit service area (Durham, Dover, Madbury, Portsmouth, Newington). Maximum distance 15 miles one-way.
How do I arrange for a ride home?
Contact Transportation Services ((603) 862-2328, voice, Relay NH 7-1-1). Ordinarily, your ride can be ready to go in about 15 minutes. The service is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding holidays and curtailed operations. Certain other restrictions may apply.
