Student Org Advisors

Student Organizations at the University of New Hampshire provide students with opportunities to connect with other students who share similar interests, hobbies, or identities. Involvement in a student organization aids in the development of leadership and occupational skills, enhancing their experience at UNH and beyond. Advisors serve in a key role as they help guide and support these organizations to fulfill their mission. Student organizations are driven and operated by students, with advisors serving in a mentorship role.

Which Student Organizations need an advisor?

All student organizations that are recognized by the Memorial Union & Student Activities are required to have an advisor. An advisor must be an employee of the University of New Hampshire unless approved otherwise by the Memorial Union & Student Activities.

How do I become an advisor?

There are two ways to become an advisor for a student organization. The first and most common way is through appointment by a student organization. The second way is my reaching out to the Memorial Union & Student Activities who will connect you with relevant organizations in need of an advisor. If there are no organizations in need of an advisor, you will be added to a list of interested advisors to be matched when a position is open.
