Penny Watson
Penny Watson is a US Marine Corps Veteran, having served as an Aviation Operations Specialist. Ms. Watson recently completed her BS in Business Administration: Management at UNH using her GI Bill benefits and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration here at UNH. Penny officially joined the Military & Veteran Services Office as a full time employee on 23 May 2018, however she has worked for MVS as a work-study and as an hourly employee since 2014. During her time as a student, Penny also served a term as the President of the UNH Student Armed Forces Association.
Penny’s commitment to her fellow Veterans is front and center as she knows what it is like to go from military life, to civilian life, and then to university life, particularly as a non-traditional student. Her dedication to Veterans, however, extends beyond the confines of the University. As such, Penny is active in the Seacoast Marine Corps League Detachment #394, is a life member of the Women Marines Association, and was recently asked to serve on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Veterans Foundation, better known as the Law Project, which provides Veterans with assistance in non-VA related legal issues.
In her non-work life, Ms. Watson enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and is an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
