Thebestcolleges.org has named UNH’s veterinary technology program the second best in the country. The ranking is based on the exceptional hands-on learning opportunities with both large and small animals offered to students.
The program is also distinguished by PAWS, a monthly clinic run by students under veterinary supervision that provides income-eligible owners with preventive veterinary services for their pets; an on-campus veterinary diagnostic laboratory that helps monitor and control important animal diseases and provides diagnostic services and information to various state agencies; and the ability to deliver the attention and small class size of a private school with all the benefits of a full university.
