DURHAM, N.H. - Jeff Johnston, one of the principals at Cathartes, will speak at the University of New Hampshire CEO Forum Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 8 a.m. in Huddleston Hall.

Cathartes is a Boston-based, private real estate firm founded in 1992. It has developed over $750 million in commercial and residential real estate investments across the Northeast. Cathartes recently developed Portwalk Place, a five-acre, 400,000 square foot mixed-use development in downtown Portsmouth. The project includes three hotels (Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites and the Marriott Residence Inn), 149 luxury apartments, and 50,000 square feet of retail and office space.

Johnston will share the history of Cathartes, give an in-depth look at the Portwalk development and share some of their other projects including Westford Solar Park, the largest privately owned solar plant in Massachusetts.

Johnston has been at Cathartes since 1996 focusing on acquisitions, permitting, and development management. Prior to joining Cathartes, he directed leasing activities for the Flatley Company in Boston and southern New Hampshire.

Johnston graduated from the UNH Whittemore School of Business and Economics (now Paul College) and has advanced degrees in business and real estate from Northeastern University and MIT.
