DURHAM, N.H.-The N.H. Author Series, hosted by the Friends of Dimond Library, will present writer Willem Lange Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Dimond Library 5th Floor Reading Room at the University of New Hampshire. Local author and humorist Rebecca Rule will interview Lange in front of a live audience.

The renowned New Hampshire Public Television host of the award-winning program "Windows to the Wild," Lange is the author of nine books."Intermittent Bliss: Reflections on a Long Love Affair" is described as "a wry, charming look at everything from love at first sight and courtship to marriage, parenthood, and empty-nest syndrome."

Of "Tales from the Edge of the Woods," 18 stories of life in New England,  Lange writes, "if you live here by choice, you pay your dues, take what you can get, and endure what you have to."

His most recent book, "A Dream of Dragons," is a modern Norse saga written in blank verse illustrated with woodcuts by Vermont artist and Caldecott medalist Mary Azarian.

Lange began writing the weekly column, "A Yankee Notebook" in 1981, which appears in several New England newspapers. He is a commentator and host for Vermont Public Radio and Vermont and New Hampshire Public Television.

The N.H. Author Series is held three times a year, in the style of Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio. Rebecca Rule serves as host and interviewer. The event includes an opportunity for questions from the audience and will be recorded by New Hampshire Public Television for broadcast and web streaming.
