Portsmouth Regional Hospital CEO Speaks at UNH CEO Forum Oct. 17

DURHAM, N.H. - Anne Jamieson, CEO of Portsmouth Regional Hospital, will speak at the next meeting of the University of New Hampshire CEO Forum Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at 9 a.m. The program begins at 8 a.m. in Huddleston Hall with coffee and networking, with a full breakfast at 8:30 a.m.

Jamieson began her healthcare career 35 years ago as a registered nurse and has worked in progressive leadership positions in both large academic centers and small community hospitals. During her career, she spent eight years in health information management, which included implementation of electronic health records and departmental applications in large medical centers for Cerner Corporation.

In 2005, Jamieson became CEO of HCA at Parkland Medical Center in Derry. In August 2009, she was appointed CEO of Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a 209-bed facility that serves the seacoast of New Hampshire, southern Maine and northeastern Massachusetts with comprehensive medical and mental health services.

She serves on the board of directors of Great Bay Community College, advisory board of University of New Hampshire within the Health Management Department and is immediate past chairperson of the New Hampshire Hospital Association. She is a fellow of the American College of Health Executives, and is a registered nurse and licensed attorney in Massachusetts.

Jamieson earned a bachelor's degree from Worcester State University, an MBA from Anna Maria College, a law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law, and did post legal education at Harvard University.
