DURHAM, N.H. - Ken Johnson, senior demographer at the Carsey Institute and professor of sociology at the University of New Hampshire, is available to discuss the latest New Hampshire and New England census data to be released this week by the U.S. Census Bureau.

This week, the U.S. Census Bureau anticipates releasing local-level 2010 Census population counts for a number of states, including New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. The Census Bureau will provide summaries of population totals, as well as data on race, Hispanic origin and voting age for multiple geographies within the jurisdictions, such as census blocks, tracts, voting districts, cities, counties, and school districts.

The Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire conducts research and analysis on the challenges facing families and communities in New Hampshire, New England, and the nation. The Carsey Institute sponsors independent, interdisciplinary research that documents trends and conditions affecting families and communities, providing valuable information and analysis to policymakers, practitioners, the media, and the general public.
