DURHAM, N.H. -- University officials were pleased to learn of the arrest of a man in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Todd Walker, a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire and member of the football team. Walker, who was home on spring break, was killed during the early morning hours of Friday, March 18.

"We were pleased to hear the Boulder police had so quickly made an arrest in this senseless crime," said UNH President Mark W. Huddleston. "Our campus community is grieving for Todd's family and many friends, and this arrest will hopefully help their healing to begin."

"Todd was a great kid and he died protecting another person," said Head Football Coach Sean McDonnell. "We are pleased to know this dangerous individual is off of the streets of Boulder."
