DURHAM, N.H. - Top national experts will discuss possible solutions to the federal debt and related fiscal challenges facing the country during a "Fiscal Solutions Tour" panel discussion at the University of New Hampshire Thursday, Oct. 7.

Dan Innis, dean of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at UNH, will moderate the inter-generational dialogue, which will be held at 10 a.m. in Huddleston Hall. The panelists are:

• Robert Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition
• David Walker, president and CEO of The Peter G. Peterson Foundation and former comptroller general of the United States
• Isabel Sawhill, senior fellow, economic studies, Brookings, and former associate director of the Office of Management and Budget
• Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of The American Action Forum and former director of the Congressional Budget Office

The discussion aims to present diverse perspectives on fiscal issues. Potential discussion topics include changes to defense and domestic spending, Social Security and Medicare, the health care system, tax policy, and the federal budget.
