Crew Boss Rachel Rawlinson Named Northeast Region Coach of the Year

Rachel Rawlinson '99, head coach of UNH Rowing, was named the Northeast Region Coach of the Year by the American Collegiate Rowing Association at its national championship regatta May 23 -24 in Gainesville, Georgia.

The UNH crew had a strong showing at the regatta, with the women’s four taking third place and men’s varsity eight taking fourteenth. In addition, rowers Emily Bourque '15, Susan Campbell '16, Haig Caviston '14, Emily Gersbeck '15, Lisa Harning '15 and Megan Mottola '16 were tapped to represent the northeast region on the All-Region team.

In 2014, ACRA named women’s assistant coach Mackenzie Dowdy '08 its assistant coach of the year. UNH Rowing has been an intercollegiate club team since 1973.
