The Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire recently announced its newest Education Award – a $5,000 First Responders award available to active first responders interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration, Community Development, or Public Policy from the School.
Available to active first responder personnel, including:
- Sworn Police Officers
- Firefighters
- Paramedics
- Emergency Medical Technicians
The education award is available to sworn police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency technicians who would like to earn a graduate degree from the Carsey School on a part- or full-time basis.
“We are proud to recognize first responders for their service to our communities by offering this new opportunity and financial aid option to those interested in pursuing a public service graduate degree at New Hampshire’s leading public policy school,” announced Dan Bromberg, Director of Academic Programs with the Carsey School. “We believe that our degree programs fit nicely with the focus and goals of those working in the emergency services and response sectors.”
“Carsey’s three graduate degrees (two of which are currently offered entirely online) offer education in organizational management and leadership, project planning and design, administrative law, and fiscal management and budgeting,” said Bromberg. “The goal of each program is to 1) provide students a solid foundation in public sector organizational management and 2) offer opportunities for them to apply classroom concepts through experiential learning.”
And whether first responders want to apply these skills and tools across the law enforcement, fire and rescue, or emergency medical services fields, Carsey’s degrees will provide them the education they need to advance in their workplace,” Bromberg added.
