Some students have all they can do to juggle their studies and one Division I sport, let alone two. UNH’s Tori (Victoria) Palumbo ’22 and Eleonora Olsmats ’22 are two-sport athletes who are making it work. Palumbo plays field hockey and ice hockey while Olsmats divides her time between cross-country running and Nordic skiing.

CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING AND NORDIC SKIING

OLSMATS SAYS PARTICIPATING IN TWO SPORTS IS ALL ABOUT ENDURANCE. SHE SHOULD KNOW; TRAINING FOR BOTH KEEPS HER RUNNING PRETTY MUCH YEAR-ROUND. WHEN SHE’S NOT RUNNING, THE STOCKHOLM NATIVE IS ROLLER-SKIING, A WORKOUT OPTION FOR NORDIC SKIERS THAT IS BECOMING A SPORT IN ITS OWN RIGHT.
