Paula Mouser

Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Paula Mouser’s expertise is in environmental engineering bioprocesses. She conducts research on microbial community members and metabolisms influencing the fate of contaminants in the environment. Using high resolution analytical chemical and genomic tools, she studies bacteria that live in deep fractured shale, biodegradation pathways for contaminants in groundwater/soil systems, and wastewater biological processes. Ms. Mouser recently received an EPSCoR award for $750,000 from the Department of Energy.
