UNH Hosts College Fair Oct. 6 & &, 2014
DURHAM, N.H. - High school juniors and seniors and their families are invited to the University of New Hampshire College Fair. Sponsored by the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling (NEACAC), the fair brings together representatives from over 200 universities and colleges.
The fair will be held Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, from 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, from 9-11 a.m. at the Field House on the Durham campus. Representatives of participating colleges and universities from throughout the United States and Canada will be available to talk with prospective students, provide information about their institutions, and answer questions. College-bound high school students and their parents can discuss admissions criteria, academic programs, and costs with college admissions representatives. Representatives from the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), guidance counselors from area high schools, and financial aid representatives will also be on hand to answer general questions.
Students are advised to meet with their school guidance counselor prior to begin discussing what type of higher education they are interested in pursuing and possible major areas of study. The fair is expected to attract 2,000 students, so arriving well-prepared will make for a more rewarding experience.
A wide variety of schools participate in the UNH College Fair, from the large universities and the six public state universities in New England to small, liberal-arts colleges, technological institutes, and colleges within the Community College System of New Hampshire.
