DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire Police Department, in cooperation with the Durham Police Department, arrested 22-year-old Jordan Lawrence of 22 Strafford Ave., Durham, Thursday, April 14, 2011, on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Drug as part of an ongoing investigation. 

In addition to seizing a quantity of illicit drugs, police took a shotgun from his residence during their search.  Police expect additional arrests to follow.

Lawrence, who is not a UNH student, was released on personal recognizance bail pending arraignment in Dover District Court. The New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Rochester Police Department and the Seabrook Police Department assisted Durham and UNH police.
