DURHAM, N.H. - A discussion with Gail Dines, author of "Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked our Sexuality", will take place at the University of New Hampshire Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at 6 p.m. in Murkland Hall, room 115 as part of the University Dialogue series.

Dines, professor of sociology and women's studies at Wheelock College in Boston, is an internationally acclaimed speaker and author and a feminist activist. Her writing and lectures focus on the hypersexualization of the culture and the ways that porn images filter down into mainstream pop culture.

The talk is sponsored by UNH's Queer Studies, Discovery, Women's Studies program and SHARPP.

The theme of this year's University Dialogue, part of UNH's Discovery Program, is "Decision Making in the Age of Information Overload."
