DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire Health Services music video, "Keeping You Healthy," showcasing its programs and services for students, has received the 2010 Circle of Excellence Silver Award in the General Information Features category from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). It was one of 63 entries in this category. 

"Keeping You Healthy" was created in conjunction with UNH Video Production Services, which worked with staff members from Health Services to take the video from idea to completion. UNH students wrote the lyrics and performed the songs, which are from several different genres including rock, rap, a cappella and folk.

"I am very happy to hear that this video was recognized for its quality and professionalism.  People who have seen it compliment us on how much clear, understandable information on the scope and quality of our services is presented in a concise and entertaining way. This exactly fits what our goal was in asking Video Services to create it," says Kevin Charles, assistant vice president for student and academic services and executive director of health services.

The video was submitted to CASE for consideration by UNH Video Production Services. CASE is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas. The Circle of Excellence Awards is a premier international awards program that recognizes the work of CASE members. The awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.

"It was a true collaborative effort working with all the musicians, the Health Services staff and our production team," says Kevin Connelly, producer/director in Video Production Services, University Communications and Marketing. "Our goal was to give the viewers important information through a creative and entertaining video. It was a lot of fun to work on and I'm happy it was recognized by the Circle of Excellence Awards."
