""Shrimp Local, Eat Local"" Demonstrates Shrimp Preparation Feb. 10

DURHAM, N.H. - Whether you prefer them steamed, sautéed or skewered, you can learn to prepare northern shrimp and serve up delicious seafood fare for the dinner table. 

The upcoming workshop "Shrimp Local, Eat Local" will be offered to those interested in eating locally harvested shrimp and learning how to prepare them. The event, sponsored by N.H. Sea Grant and the University of New Hampshire's Thompson School culinary arts program, will take place on Feb. 10 from 6-8 p.m. in room 219 of the University's Cole Hall in Durham.

Chefs from the culinary program will demonstrate how to cook, peel, store and prepare the pink-shelled crustaceans in a variety of palate-pleasing ways. Registration is $10 per person and includes recipes and educational materials to help attendees prepare and enjoy shrimp at home.
