Louise Griffin, senior director of research and sponsored programs administration in the office of the senior vice provost for research, was recently honored by the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) with its Julie T. Norris Distinguished Service Award. The award is the region’s highest honor recognizing outstanding achievement in research administration.
“Louise is one of the hardest-working and most knowledgeable persons that I have ever worked with,” says Jan Nisbet, senior vice provost for research. “I am very proud of her, and UNH is fortunate to have her on our team.”
NCURA recognized Griffin for her service on committees, presentations and leadership in the association’s Region 1 chapter. She has mentored many and continues to contribute to the region and the field of research administration.
In addition to her work at UNH, Griffin is an advocate for addiction prevention and treatment and the president of Zack’s Team Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals overcome the disease of addiction.
