Professor Emeritus John Shotter died Dec. 8 at his home in Whittlesford, England.
Shotter joined the communication department in 1991 and served as department chair from 1999 until 2001. He retired from UNH in 2004.
In November, he published his most recent book, "Speaking, Actually: Towards a New ‘Fluid’ Common-Sense Understanding of Relational Becomings.”
